About Aadi
Aadi is an innovative app prototype designed in collaboration with the Government of Rajasthan, to transform the way people explore the cities and towns of Rajasthan. By incorporating gamification into urban exploration, Aadi invites users to engage with the region's rich cultural heritage and discover local businesses in an interactive and rewarding way.
Challenge
Capturing the essence of Rajasthan’s cultural and architectural beauty within the app’s design: Integrated elements inspired by Rajasthan’s traditional art and architecture into the app’s interface, including color schemes, patterns, and imagery that reflect the region’s aesthetic.
Ensuring the app’s functionality was consistent across different devices while maintaining a culturally rich design: Employed responsive design techniques and conducted extensive testing on various devices to ensure a seamless user experience.
Gamification of Elements: Designed engaging features such as journey selection, milestone tracking, and token collection, ensuring they were seamlessly integrated into the cultural context of Rajasthan.
Design Approach
The design approach for Aadi focused on creating an engaging and intuitive user experience. We began with user research to inform design decisions and ensure ease of navigation. The design integrated gamification elements to boost interaction and engagement. Through iterative prototyping and usability testing, we refined the app to be both visually appealing and user-friendly, aligning closely with user feedback and needs.
My Role
As the UI/UX Designer for Aadi, I crafted a user experience that seamlessly blended aesthetic appeal with functionality. My role included conducting user research to develop personas, designing intuitive navigation through wireframes and user flows, and creating a visually compelling interface. I integrated gamification elements to boost engagement and collaborated closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure the design was both innovative and user-centered.
