About the Program

The Care Companion App by Noora Health supports frontline healthcare workers by providing essential tools for patient care management. The app facilitates post-discharge recovery education and long-term care through educational resources and an intuitive interface. It also includes features that allow nurses to mark their attendance and track the number of Care Companion Program (CCP) sessions they have completed.

Challenge

Diverse User Needs: The app needed to cater to healthcare workers from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds, making it crucial to design content that was both inclusive and relevant.

Accessibility Concerns: Creating an interface that was easy to use for nurses with varying levels of digital experience was a major challenge. The design had to balance simplicity with the functionality required for effective patient care.

Seamless Integration: Ensuring the app fit seamlessly into existing healthcare workflows was critical. It had to enhance efficiency and care quality without disrupting established practices.

Design Approach

To address these challenges, the design approach centered on a Human-Centered Design methodology. Engaging with healthcare workers provided insights into their specific needs and pain points. I developed interactive prototypes and iteratively refined the app based on user feedback.

Key features, like the ability for nurses to mark attendance and record CCP session completions, were designed to integrate smoothly into daily routines. The focus was on creating an intuitive and accessible tool that complemented existing systems and workflows.

My Role

As the UI/UX Designer, I was responsible for translating complex requirements into a streamlined and user-friendly interface. I led the design strategy, crafted prototypes, and conducted usability testing with nurses across Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Close collaboration with developers and stakeholders ensured that the final design not only met user needs but also integrated effectively with existing healthcare practices.
